GOING FROM DIY TO MLS:
THE WORK BEHIND THE LISTING
Some people have a gift for working with their hands. Anything they touch, within their realm of expertise, turns into a work of art. Machines that won’t listen to anyone else respond to their whispers.
Other people have a gift for drawing the best out of others. They’re empaths — always able to find just the right emotional chord to pull. They get things done by recruiting and inspiring those who work with their hands to put plans into action.
Our client here was the latter.
Her Vision: To sell a beautiful Bay and Gable townhouse in the heart of Cabbagetown for top dollar.
Her Mission: Bring the house up to code and industry standards by hiring a licensed team of contractors to tidy up a few odds and ends the previous contract left behind.
Her Tool: A phone — and a direct line to my private number.

We were introduced to each other by a property manager of the condo building she was living in. She knew we weren’t the kind of contractors to shy away from a challenge — and taking over a project midway is always a challenge.
In the weeks that followed, we assessed the site conditions, drafted a hybrid fixed price plus cost agreement, and got to work.
