CONSULTATION.

No matter if you’re just shopping around or already know exactly what you want, we would gladly welcome a phone call from you.

The more defined your goals, the more clarity we can leave you with.

Think of it as a live Q&A section: we’ll answer your questions and help fill in any knowledge gaps by asking a few insightful ones of our own.

  • What to expect : Discovery Call

We start with a free 15–30 minute discovery call, where we’ll discuss project-specific requirements and considerations, such as:

    • Scope of work
    • Project resources we may need
    • Drawings, permits, long lead time items
    • Architect, structural engineer, interior design and/or help with material selections
    • What’s your timeline like and do we need to meet a hard deadline?
    • Key deliverables and milestone schedule
    • Criteria for a job well done
    • What are some things that are important to you and how would you define success for this project?
    • What’s your lifestyle like?
    • Any special precautions for health and safety reasons?
    • Would you like to do the project in one go or sub-divide the scope into smaller phases?
    • Have you ever worked with a professional contractor before?
    • Do you have a budget in mind and/or have you already done some market research? (this is an optional topic)

If it happens naturally throughout the flow of conversation, we’ll also talk a bit about our process, credentials, ballpark costs and availability.

At the end of the phone call, if you’re interested, we’ll schedule an on-site estimate to write up a comprehensive proposal for you.

  • What to expect : During the Visit

    During the visit, we will:

    • Do a detailed walk-through of your home to review existing site conditions.
    • We’ll revisit your project goals and address any concerns you may have.
    • Take on-site measurements to enter the data into our estimating software.

  • What to expect: Quote Details

Your quote can be as detailed or as general as you’d like. We’ll discuss how you’d like it structured — by room, by scope, or a hybrid of both — and set a delivery date for the quote.

    • Simple quotes typically take just a few days.
    • More complex quotes may take a couple of weeks to complete.

This entire exercise is known as a cost study analysis. It’s a well informed process, and sets the tone for the rest of the job. The end result is a Project Charter – a recognized standard of good project management by the Project Management Institute
